DDA-Compliant Disabled Access Lifts

At Wickham Hoist Ltd, our commitment to accessibility and inclusivity is embodied in our range of disabled access lifts. Designed with both functionality and user comfort in mind, these bespoke lifts offer reliable, smooth and safe transportation for individuals with mobility challenges. Whether you require a vertical platform lift or a compact step lift, our solutions provide a dignified and efficient way to overcome architectural barriers.

BS EN 81-41 Compliant Lift Solutions

Built to meet the highest standards of safety and performance, our disabled access lifts are tailored to suit various environments, ensuring seamless integration into public buildings, workplaces and residential spaces. Our range is fully DDA compliant and meets BS EN 81-41 standards, providing a professional and robust alternative to standard elevators where space or building constraints are a factor.

Applications for Public, Workplace & Residential Sites

Our range of disabled access and step lifts enables property owners, developers and public sector clients to implement high-quality accessibility solutions with minimal site disruption. The compact, modular design allows our platform lifts to be self-contained within their own structure, fully compliant with BS EN 81-41, CE marks and UKCA safety standards.

Disabled Access Lift Installation

Each lift is pre-engineered and delivered directly to site. Our skilled installers ensure the system is securely fixed to the building’s structure or installed as a standalone unit, with an adjustable base station design that allows our lifts to be adapted to various floor levels and surfaces for a perfectly level and secure installation every time.

Transported to site ready for immediate setup, our lifts feature a prefabricated, self-levelling base that allows for a smooth and stable installation on almost any floor surface. Our team of skilled engineers handles the delivery, installation and commissioning of the lift with minimal disruption to your daily operations, and a standard 32 amp single or 3-phase power connection is all that is required to get the system running.

Case Study

Disabled Access Step Lift, EC1R London Office

A London office needed a compliant, low-profile way to move wheelchair users and visitors with mobility needs between a short internal split-level, without the cost or disruption of a full lift shaft.

We supplied and installed a compact, self-contained step lift within the building’s existing stairwell, keeping the original staircase fully usable while adding a safe, DDA-compliant route for wheelchair users. The unit was fitted with minimal disruption to the working office around it and commissioned ready for immediate use.
